THE HUSTLE CHRONICLES

The Hustle Barbershop is proud to present and sponsor the “The Riverside Hawks” elementary and middle school girls’ travel teams.   On April 15 I attend the 2nd annual fundraiser held at the Riverside Church and was please to see all the good that these girls are doing and how great the staff was. The girls are being coached by  Chiene Joy Jones (8th grade) and Emily Foshag (7th grade)  and are doing great things within the community to bring these girls together and teach them the value of team work and I saw some wicked jump shots mixed in there!  Looking forward to seeing first hand there skills.  We will be covering the Hawks throughout there Spring/Summer 2012 season rooting for them along the way.  1.. 2.. 3.. Hard work 1..2..3..Riverside and remember ladies hard work is all Hustle !

The weekend of May 5th they  won there  first game that Saturday at the Riverbank State Park Girls Basketball League.  Actually played the home team, the Riverbank Gazzelles, and won by 9 points.  They also played this past  Saturday and lost a heart breaker by 2 points on a last second shot!  Follow us to keep up with the Hawks all season.

May 26-27: Potential Scrimmage?
June 2: Riverbank League Game
June 9-10: 25th Annual Comets Tournament (Philadelphia, PA)

June 15: Riverbank League Game
June 16: Potential Scrimmage
June 23: Riverbank League Final Game?
June 30: Team Graduation/Summer Celebration BBQ at Riverbank State Park or Morningside Park
July/August: NYC Nike Swoosh Tournament, Rod Strickland Basketball League, LL Cool J Basketball Tournament (I anticipate us playing in a few more 1 day tournaments but those are TBD)

April 15th is not just for taxes Team Hustle RoadRunners ran the 13.1 More Fitness magazine women’s half-marathon through Central Park. Donna Barcia finished it in a personal best 2hrs 16min, Brigitte Rangel on a bad foot mind you (RESPECT!) finished in 3hrs along side Dayanara Fierro who also finished in 3hrs toughed  it out.   Proudly I was there to witness these ladies perseverance and inspiration towards the finish line, they trained for weeks and all there hard work paid off once they crossed the finish line!

The Hustle Basketball proudly presents the summer 2012 Team Hustle Basketball.

The Hustle Barbershop first opened its doors on May 10, 2005.  Built from scratch The Hustle has transformed itself from a few haircuts into a premier trendsetting barbershop and brand.  Years ago a vision was created and with time has flourished to the level it has reached with much more to go.

The Hustle Chronicles will help you better understand where, what, and who helped inspire, motivate and create OUR movement.  We at The Hustle Barbershop will be sharing regularly with you the universe our vision hoping to inspire you to create, enjoy, learn, live and love.
